Old School Shopping

After a nice winter break, it’s time to go back to school. Or at least share some photos from our latest pop-up shop at the Old School. Partnering with Mega Mega Projects, Terrific turned the former Nolita Catholic elementary into a twelve day shopping experience–where the giant classrooms were reimagined as a unique series of stores. The two story market featured designers including Mociun, Baggu, BKLYN Dry Goods, Erin Considine, Shabd, Outlier, Graham Withers, AANDD, The American Vernacular, WE ARE HERE, DLC Brooklyn, H. Fredrikkson, Andy Lifschutz Jewelry, Tirana Jewelry, Titania Inglis, Study NY, BHON, David Neale, Better Late Than Never, ByAMT Studio, Samma, Morris Kitchen, Serum Versus Venom (SVSV), ETWAS Bags, The Keystone Design Union, Complete Techniques, Cavalier, and many more. Not to mention loads of mulled wine from City Grit and a revolving cast of buskers.

Pool Supplies

In case you missed it, Terrific Magazine’s first-ever shopping marketplace, Pool Supplies, was the place to be on last Sunday.  At 1pm, nineteen of New York’s most buzzed-about new talents in clothing and jewelry design arrived at Union Pool’s big backyard armed with garment bags, boxes, tablecloths, cupcakes, knick knacks, and racks brimming with collections new and old.

An hour later, Pool Supplies was in full tilt, and the various bundles had transformed into beautifully appointed booths. Kimchi bloody marys flowed, tacos were enjoyed by the fistful, and DJs spun the afternoon away while guests picked up new sundresses, handmade satchels, and cool cocktail rings. We may have left a little sunburned, but it was a small price to pay for the great times and Terrific new gear.
